Boat Rides and Ceremonies

We all went on a boat ride on the river Ganga our first night in Varanasi.

Tej also organized local music on the boat. Sitar and bongos.

The weather was cloudy so it was kind of spooky on the river as we floated around.

Just before we got off we had a flower ceremony of us releasing all these little bowls containing flowers and candles that we each lit up into the river. One at a time...with us saying a wish each time we dropped a bowl in. We must of had at least 80 bowls in the river near our boat. It looked amazing.

We also took part of watching an evening puja.

Peaceful moments for all of us.
